Intern XR Gameplay Programmer Jun. –Aug. 2023
Specialized in employing object-oriented programming with C# scripting and uGUI to create dynamic 3D interactions for ByteDance's Pico XR platforms, enhancing VR mini-games for digital publications.
Collaborated closely with a multidisciplinary team of developers, artists, and designers to craft engaging VR experiences, contributing to the seamless integration of virtual reality with traditional reading.
Played a pivotal role in integrating AI tools into the development workflow, improving efficiency and pioneering innovative approaches to interactive storytelling in VR environments.
Hubei Thingo Technology Development Co., Software Development Department
Intern Assistant Jun. –Aug. 2022
Participated in the standard operating procedure (SOP) and information architecture design of the direct payment (online banking) interface for one of its major clients, for which, I investigated how the deployment of robotic process automation (RPA) instead of repetitive manual tasks could help improve the efficiency of the workflow
Learned the principle and process of RPA and obtained RPA Implementation Engineer Primary Certificate
Learned the basics for Process Mining in order to understand the operating theories and software algorithms for understanding and communicating ideas in between
COURSE PROJECTS
Independent Project: “‘Oscillating Universe’ Concert Hall” Jan.- May. 2023
Adviser: Prof. HyukJae Henry Yoo
Designed and created a concert hall with the concept of oscillating universe in that the hall can expand and contract, thus creating different space and atmosphere for music performance
Implemented controlled acoustics in that each component of the wall is of quadrilateral origami, with adjustable sound reflectivity and absorptivity on each side, arranged into the larger non-overlapping wall tessellation of three dimensional Penrose tiles
Studied binaural beats and spatial audio, global acoustic calculation, acoustic materials and underlying theories of oscillating universe
Course Project: “Robot in a box” Jan.-May, 2022
Adviser: Professor Debera Johnson
Course Name: “Design Studio IV”
Designed a game packed in a box based on BBC Micro bit V2 single-chip computer system for middle-school students, through which, they can follow the game tasks inspired by Puss in Boots and learn to work with sensors, circuitry, and basic coding by playing the designed games so as to spread joy and provoke the young’s interest in STEM-related areas
Designed and developed the APP to accompany the game, including the instruction, troubleshooting guidance, games and resources for further learning
Conducted research on the behaviors and demands on target users by working with middle-school volunteers in the community through collaboration with Nycfirst at Cornell Tech
Refined game tasks, packaging design, open-box experiences design, app interaction design as well as testing with Figma
SKILLS
Programing: Unity C#, Javascript, Arduino, Apple Swift
